Hi Amy - nice of the camellia and azalea to overlap their bloom period for you. I'm not particularly fond of the hot pink/magenta ones, but these white and pale pink azaleas are lovely.

How pretty! We can't have azaleas here...the soil is too alkaline...although just a few miles away in Sacramento they grow well ...yours look gorgeous!
I'm jealous. I don't think camelias will grow here. It's our soil. STUPID ALKALINE CENTRAL TEXAS SOIL!!! Oh, well.

Especially when I see all the beautiful things that grow in Austin!
I've planted azaleas, rhodo and camellias in 10 gallon pots in ground and they are doing beautifully. Oh, I live in SE Austin. I can't fight the soil but they like the temp. I used to live in Savannah and wanted some of these plants in my garden. With good planting skills you can do it!
